When Club 1509 first opened its doors in 1996, the sounds of shredding rock music screamed out of the premium sound system. As the 90s continued to give way to the rise of the Electronic Dance scene, 1509 stepped up and became Tampa’s dance music epicenter. Not ready to rest on its laurels and past success, in August of 2003, 1509 was reborn as Club Skye. Consistently chosen as Ybor’s Best Hip Hop venue by discriminating clubgoers and journalists, alike, Club Skye continues to command attention by bringing the biggest names in the industry and hosting the most popular weekly and special events. Presently, in conjunction with major media partners like WILD 94.1, Club Skye’s weekly Friday and Saturday nights are the only destination for serious hip-hop fans. Special engagements are not to be missed.

Venue

Club Skye has two levels, three rooms, a VIP balcony area, an exclusive private Champagne Room, two large dance floors, two separate DJ booths along with eight fully stocked bars housing the finest liquors, wines, and champagnes.


Our professional stage has hosted many national acts and performances using our top-of-the-line sound system; our brilliant light show, multi-colored lasers and special effects are illuminated by our lighting experts. This unique layout makes Club Skye a popular choice for corporate events, concerts, and parties of all sizes.

Stage

An open VIP atmosphere is in full view from anywhere in the main room and balcony. Patrons can take advantage of the full premium bar, bottle service with a comfortable couch and table seating. The stage also has its own private stage door for elite entrances making this area easy to transform into a polished concert setting.

Main Room

The main room allows for easy access to all our club areas with a full stage view. Four premium stocked bars and a built in humidor are found on the outside of the oversized dance floor which includes shadow dance platforms, two dance cages and an overhead sky swing. The dazzling light show and special effects, gives this area a phenomenal hyped up feel. The large open area and soft lights can also make this room ideal for larger group meetings.

VIP Stage

Located on the second floor, this area has its own private entrance from the street and from the clubs main room. For a more intimate setting the balcony runs the entire length of the VIP room and has an outstanding view of the entire main room and stage. This area has plenty of couches and separated seating sections for full VIP bottle service.
